Ever since her debut film Om Shanti Om, Deepika Padukone has managed to connect with the youth. With age being on her side, she has increasingly become a favourite among the younger lot. This led Fiama Di Wills to cast her as the face of their soap brand and they are so happy with the response, that they have made Deepika the brand ambassador and have also offered her Rs. 5 Crore as fees.

Deepika has been associated with the brand for four years now. So when the contract was due for renewal, instead of moving on to another young actress, the company decided to retain Deepika seeing her affect on the people. They made an offer which the actress couldn't refuse. Do you blame her? It was pretty obvious given the amount they were offering.

Shabana Azmi has sounded a word of alert to Vidya Balan. Shabana thinks that if Vidya carries on to dominate in all her movies, she’ll lose the opportunity of performing with top actors in Bollywood. Shabana Azmi, who presently viewed Vidya Balan starrer Kahaani feels that Vidya is an extremely strong actress and thinks that Vidya did all the right things possible in Kahaani.

However, Shabana Azmi is of the opinion that though Vidya’s selection of movie is accurate generally, she must stay away from getting into a pitfall by taking only meaty and key roles. Shabana went through a similar period when all the films featuring her in the main character had either Vinod Mehra or Marc Zuber as the man lead.

Major leading actors at that time were scared that Shabana would walk away with all the awards!
